1. Core Privacy Philosophy

STASH ("we", "our", or "the App") is engineered on a local-first principle: Your data belongs on your device.

Unlike traditional social applications, STASH does not require account creation, does not track your online browsing activity, and does not operate cloud databases storing your personal bookmarks or viewing habits.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses.
• No Browsing or Social Graph History: We do not track the accounts you follow or browse on third-party platforms.
• No Location Tracking: We do not request, access, or log GPS or IP-based location data.
• No Biometric Storage: Biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face Unlock) is handled entirely by your device’s local Android BiometricPrompt system. The App never sees or stores biometric data.

3. Information Processed by the App

When you explicitly paste or share a public media link (e.g., from Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube) into STASH:

• Public Link Parsing: The link is processed to retrieve publicly accessible metadata (video titles, captions, recipe ingredients, and video streams) for your personal viewing.
• Local Sandboxed Storage: All parsed checklists, notes, recipes, and cached media files reside exclusively in your device's isolated application storage.
• Anonymous Diagnostic Telemetry: Anonymized crash logs may be processed via standard Google Play Console telemetry strictly to resolve technical faults.

4. Third-Party Services

Google Play In-App Billing: All purchases or PRO subscriptions are securely processed by Google LLC via Google Play Billing. STASH never stores or receives financial or payment details.

Third-Party Platforms: STASH is an independent bookmarking utility and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Meta.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all your saved notes, recipes, and videos are stored locally on your device:

• You can delete any saved item or folder instantly within the App.
• Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all stored media and data from your device storage.

6. Children's Privacy

STASH complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
